Mercy Economic Development International Corporation (MEDIC) is a faith based Economic and Community Development Organization. While we firmly believe that bringing sustainable opportunities to impoverished persons through Economic and Community Development is an essential aspect of Mercy, we do this in support of a much higher calling.  

That is, demonstrating and sharing the Love of God and the Love He has for all of mankind.  The MEDIC family of ministries believes that one of the keys in sharing Christ with others in any nation is the development of National Missionaries. Therefore we are committed to training, sending out, and supporting national missionaries in nations through out the world. Our primary focus however will be nations in the 10/40 window, and in Cental & South America.

• National Missionaries as citizens typically have more freedom to reach unchurched people groups within the nations they reside.
• National missionaries are far more cost-effective. A National missionary can be trained, sent out and supported for five percent of the cost of an international missionary from the west.

• Contribute to our Nationals Missionary Training & Education Scholarship Fund whereby with a twelve month commitment of a gift of $25 a month you and four other sponsors can correspond with and sponsor the training of a national missionary who is preparing to be sent forth into the harvest.
• Click on the photos of your choice and you can obtain a photograph and biographical information about a  need of missionary scholarship funds.
• Or for a gift of $25 per month you and four other partners can correspond with and sponsor a national missionary by contributing to our national missionaries fund. For $150 per month in most developing nations a national missionary can be adequately supported and equipped to go forth with teaching and equipping others with application of community development principles with a gospel of helping the poor.

The Fruit of the Harvest - As national and visiting missionaries bring others to a deeper walk with God it is necessary for MEDIC to assist in the establishment of community and economic development work to serve and support the community in which they become established until such time as the Community can establish the Missionary.
