Mercy Economic Development International Corporation (MEDIC) Global Prayer Task Force is inviting you to pray for the NATIONS.

It could well be that you are about to enter the greatest, most satisfying adventure of your life, a ministry of intercessory prayer. YES, you can touch the world through prayer. You don't have to spend hours each day to qualify for God's prayer army, we just ask you to pray at least 5-10 minutes a day to uphold the Nations. Prayer is the greatest resource of the church. It is the most effective means of preparing the way of the Lord available to us as Christians today. You can influence more people for God and have a greater role in advancing Christ's cause by prayer than in any other way. It is not the only thing you do, but it is the greatest thing you can do. It has often been said.

THE DEVIL TREMBLES WHEN HE SEES GOD'S WEAKEST CHILD UPON HIS KNEES.

It is true. Think what could happen if every Christian really took his prayer role seriously and began to pray regularly and specifically, uniting with thousands or millions or billions of others, all praying for the same priority needs around the world. Are you willing to be a part of such a prayer Army? You can play a significant part in Christ's plan. You can be the praying person God wants you to be. You can, if you will. Will you try?

The following suggested categories would guide you in preparing your own personal prayer lists:

1) GOVERNMENT LEADERS: Such leaders include the president, governors, and mayors. You will probably want to mention also the central government ministers from your State, and also the custodians of law. Be sure to pray for other officials and those who play a strategic role in policy making (I Tim 2:1-4).

2) OTHER CHRISTIAN LEADERS: Pray daily for all the leaders of your local church- pastors, Sunday school teaches elders, deacons, and others (I Thess. 5:12-13).

3) OTHER CHRISTIAN CHURCH LEADERS WORLD WIDE: : Pray for other influential Christian leaders, evangelists, Bible teachers, editors and writers, gospel singers, youth leaders, and children's workers.

4) MISSIONS: Since world evangelization is the priority Jesus gave to His church until He comes again, and since, so much of the world is largely unreached, God obviously expects every Christian to pray for Missions. (Matt.24:14; 28:18-20; John 20:21; Acts 1:8)

5) MISSIONARIES: Nations (Ps. 2:8) Missionary organizations, pray generally for all such organizations, pray for more national/International pastors and lay workers in other countries

6) OTHER CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES: Radio and TV ministries evangelistic teams, prison ministries, youth ministries, city missions, Christian publishing houses- all are areas for intercession.

8) UNSAVED PEOPLE

9) SPECIAL NEEDS: The Holy Spirit will suggest urgent needs for immediate intercessory prayer. You may be urged to pray as you read the news paper or listen to television news casts reporting tragedy, famine special international conferences, court cases, people injured in accidents, people seriously ill, family problems, unity among churches, or special church meetings.

10) All the satanic net works around the Globe.

Praying through your day in this way is a beautiful way to pray without ceasing (I Thess. 5:17)
